Implant Series: Managing Shade in Provisional Restorations

Dr. Amanda Seay

Continuum Exclusive

About This Case

Provisional color is often inconsistent because of variations in substrate shade and the thickness of the provisional material — and the workaround usually involves fabricating a new abutment. This case shows how to manage both the provisionals and the final restorations to achieve even, natural-looking color while utilizing the patient's existing provisional implant abutment, saving the patient time and an additional procedure.

This case is exclusive to Continuum members.
